What are the differences between Personal Edition (Freeware) and Professional Edition?
eDATA Unerase Personal Edition restores
only deleted files* using the Quick Scan Mode function.
eDATA Unerase Professional Edition is able to restore lost files* as well as deleted files by using the "Full Scan Mode" function. There is also a useful search filtering option.
* Deleted Files are files that have been deleted through normal methods, such as accidental deletions.
These files can be recovered
by searching for Microsoft Windows file reference information which remains on your computer's hard drive.
* Lost Files are files that no longer have Microsoft Windows file reference information remaining. The full scan method (cluster scan) is appropriate for searching lost files. Because the Microsoft Windows file reference information is no longer present the original name of the file is no longer available. This method will search the entire hard drive and identifies these files by their structure (i.e. unique header, content, and footer information).
